Spiritual Cycle PART 1. What do farmers do in winter?

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them. (Ecclesiastes 1:9-11)

If you have been praying for a revival in your country for years, believing it will eventually come, but wondering when or seeking what must be done for it; if you have worked hard but not seen as much fruit in recent years as before in ministry; or if you have been observing the church in your nation hardly growing or even struggling for too long, you are not alone… if you are in the Global North! The Church in the Global North is experiencing a plateau or even decline, which encompasses North America, Europe, Oceania, and a few countries in Asia like Japan and South Korea, as the Global North is in the midst of a spiritual winter with at least several more years until the next spiritual spring. Maybe, and hopefully, it will come sooner, but it’s not going to be in the next year. 

However, this is not the case in the Global South, covering Latin America, Africa, and most of Asia. They are witnessing steady and strong growth in the Church and are enjoying a fruitful spiritual summer the pendulum of the Spiritual Cycle swings in the opposite direction in the Global South.
